‘Big,’ Starring Tom Hanks & Elizabeth Perkins, Celebrates 25 Years

ElizabethPerkinsTomHanksBIG“Big,” the 1988 comedy starring Greek-American actress Elizabeth Perkins and self-proclaimed “110% Greek” actor Tom Hanks, is celebrating 25 years since its release, and Fox Home Entertainment has put together a special anniversary collectible Blu-Ray/DVD in its honor.

Hanks, who scored his first-ever Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in “Big,” earned major praise playing a young boy trapped in a man’s body. Perkins (nee Pisperikos) played his beautiful love interest. Most famous for the piano “chopsticks” scene that took place in NYC toy store FAO Schwarz, “Big,” directed by Penny Marshall, has become an iconic film.

The 25th Anniversary edition of “Big” is currently available on Amazon and other retail outlets.
