Zach Galifianakis is teaming up with “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm for the feature comedy, “Keeping Up With The Joneses.”
The Hollywood Reporter says the newly paired comedic duo are attached as the leads in the upcoming film, which will be directed by Greg Mottola (“Superbad”). The plot centers on a suburban type-A couple who discovers that their neighbors are actually undercover agents.
Both Galifianakis and Hamm are still hashing out their deals with “The Joneses,” which has been picked up by Fox 2000. Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are on-board as producers. No word yet on which role either actor will play.
Galifianakis, best known as Alan in “The Hangover” films, recently made headlines when he shared a very humorous conversation with President Barack Obama on his comedic Funny or Die show, “Between Two Ferns.” It was also just announced that the Greek-American actor has signed on for the gay-rights drama, “Freeheld.”
