Maria Menounos is jumping right into her new duties at E! Network. The Greek-American television personality will premiere “Untold With Maria Menounos” on July 17 at 8pm.
The news magazine show is an inventive series that goes behind the headlines of entertainment, celebrity and pop culture. Each one-hour episode, hosted Menounos, delves into three different stories to get the inside scoop on the biggest news of the moment. It features interviews with celebrities, Hollywood insiders, topic-specific experts and more, covering subjects ranging from the rise of heroin in Hollywood to the Electronic Dance Music scene, to transgender civil rights issues and the highs and lows of reality star fame.
“Untold” also connects viewers to people who are big in the social media universe with segments like “The Pop Culture Minute,” featuring YouTube and Vine stars, and “The Untold Moment,” offering exclusive interviews with Hollywood’s most fascinating personalities.
The first episode will take a look at the Selfie epidemic and how it’s fueling an increasing number of adults and teens to seek plastic surgery. Plus, there will be a segment on how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, are taking control of the media and preparing their son – the future king of England – for life in the social media spotlight. The episode will also feature interviews with “Sharknado 2” stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, and Kari Wuhrer.
The eight-episode series will air certain Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT through the end of the year.
