Theo James is just wrapping up “Insurgent,” the second installment in the “Divergent” series, and is gearing up for his next project.
The Greek-British actor is joining Eric Bana, Jack Reynor and Rooney Mara in the book-to-film adaptation of Sebastian Barry’s “The Secret Scripture.” The drama centers on a woman who keeps a diary of her extended stay at a mental hospital.
James will play the role of the local Catholic priest in the film, set to be directed by Jim Sheridan.
The 29 year-old can also be seen in two more films he just completed — “Franny,” with Dakota Fanning and Richard Gere, and “London Fields,” a crime-thriller starring Johnny Depp.
“The Secret Scripture” is currently in pre-production and scheduled for release in theaters sometime in 2015.
