Actress Denise Vasi is expecting a baby with her husband, Anthony Mandler.
Vasi and the film/music video director married in October 2013, a little over a year after becoming engaged in Greece. The “Single Ladies” star announced yesterday via Twitter that she and her husband were now expecting a new addition to their family.
The sweet message started off with a photo of the couple kissing, captioned “K-I-S-S-I-N-G… First comes LOVE,” then another photo followed from their wedding that read, “then comes MARRIAGE…,” before the final tweet, “then comes BABY in the baby carriage #vasimandlerbaby.”
The actress, whose father is Dominican and mother is Puerto Rican-Greek, celebrated both her Latin and Greek roots growing up in a culturally diverse family. She told us in an interview that all cultures were represented, especially during the holidays.
“The food is all half and half: rice and beans, and feta, and olives and lamb,” she said, adding, “we celebrate Greek Easter, and Christmas, and all the major holidays are celebrated Greek Orthodox.”
What Vasi didn’t reveal just yet is the baby’s gender, or when the soon-to-be parents will welcome their bundle of joy.
