Greek Musicians Collaborate with International Singer Aika

Aika

Contemporary music artist Aika has released an intimate cover of the timeless Bonnie Raitt song, “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” which features a collaboration with a prominent group of Greek musicians.

With Aika providing vocals and sax on the track, Grammy-winning drummer Toss Panos, drummer Thanasi Moustogiannis and keyboardist Nicolas Farmakalidis join legendary Japanese guitar player Masayoshi Furukawa on lead, Alex Alessandroni on piano and Giuseppe Patane on bass. The soulful song was produced by Nicolas Farmakalidis for NeilaProductions.

The Greek musicians came together to work on the song through various connections.

“I have been working with Nicolas for the last three years in the studio and [we] have performed live together for different projects. We have also become best friends. Toss Panos was chosen as a guest star for this song by [the] producer, Nicolas, and it’s funny he happens to be Greek, too!,” Moustogiannis told Greek Reporter.

Aika has been on tour across Asia for the past three months. While preparing to put the finishing touches on her next full-length album, NO MO GAMES, Aika took the time from her busy touring schedule to slip into the studio with her band and record the song for fans.

Once her latest album is released, Farmakalidis and Moustogiannis will join Aika on tour, along with band members Alessandroni, Patane and Furukawa.
