Sophomore Feature from Zoe Cassavetes to Release in 2015

Zoe Cassavetes“Days Out of Days,” the second directorial feature from Zoe Cassavetes, is currently in post-production and scheduled for a 2015 release.

Zoe’s latest project is a drama centered in Los Angeles. The story is about a 40-year-old actress who works to make it in the cutthroat business of Hollywood while contending with ever-youthful competition.

Co-written and directed by Ms. Cassavetes, the film stars her co-writer, Alexia Landeau, as well as Melanie Griffith, Ione Skye and Eddie Izzard.

Zoe’s debut film, “Broken English,” was well-received by many of the film festivals it played at in 2007, including Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, and the Philadelphia Film Festival, having won the Jury Award for Best First Film.

The daughter of the late, great John Cassavetes, and sister of award-winning filmmaker Nick Cassavetes, it’s obvious that talent runs through the Greek-American family. Zoe’s sister, Alexandra, also works in the industry an actress, as did her grandmother, Katherine Cassavetes.
