Famous Greek-American actress and comedienne Betty White turned 93 this past weekend and her co-stars decided to surprise her on her birthday with a flash mob on the set of her show, “Hot in Cleveland.”
The birthday surprise has to be seen to be believed.
White was being driven around in a golf cart to get to set, when the driver innocently asks her if today, January 16, is her birthday. Betty responded “tomorrow,” and then the driver announces that there may be a little surprise for her on set.
Then the entire cast and crew emerged onto the lot from the soundstage while doing the hula, dressed in leis, hula skirts and Hawaiian shirts.
Her fellow “Hot in Cleveland” actors and crew actually coordinated an entire routine for the 93-year-old Emmy-winning actress’ birthday. White was obviously moved by the surprise and was almost tearing up by the time co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick appeared at the end to wish her a happy birthday.
Never one to miss a funny line, at the end of the video, Betty exclaims, “At 93, you shouldn’t be doing this!”
