We met Steve Aoki at the 30th IDMA Awards, where he won in the Best North American DJ category. With Greek summer around the corner and a scheduled performance in Greece on July 15th, we asked him about Mykonos and what is success for one of the most talked about DJ’s in the world.
Aoki, one of the humblest big names in the DJ business – and believe us some of them don’t know the word humble – said he loves his Greek fans and “in the end it doesn’t matter if you keep playing music for twenty years at the same club as long as it makes you happy.”
“You have to play music for yourself, what the others think doesn’t matter,” he added.
