Ted Sarandos to Address Changes in Hollywood at Cannes Film Festival

Ted Sarandos

Ted Sarandos, the Greek-American Chief Content Officer of Netflix, has been honored with an invitation to address the Marche du Film at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

This is the first time Sarandos has been invited to the famous international film market. Part of the reason may be because Netflix has been growing very rapidly and has recently made huge strides in the film arena while creating award winning original content.

The innovative Hollywood executive will be heading an “In Conversation” session on May 15th for the NEXT program, which focuses on new developments and the future of the film industry.

His talk will address changing distribution models of the modern film era and how those new models impact finance and production. As one of the most vocal supporters of adapting to an increasingly digital world in film, Sarandos is the perfect person to guide a conversation on this topic.

Cannes Film Festival chief Thierry Frémaux will introduce Ted Sarandos at the Palais. This year the festival starts on May 13th and will continue until May 24th.

We will update you on Sarandos’ speech, which is sure to have a lot of important points regarding the drastically shifting model of the film industry today, and what production and distribution companies as well as artists can do to adapt to it.
