Jennifer Aniston just signed a $5 million deal to be the new face of top-rated Emirates Airlines.
This follows the signing of Nicole Kidman just a few months ago to represent rival luxury airline Etihad, both based out of the United Arab Emirates.
According to Vishal Anand, the CEO of local Dubai-based communication agency Blue Apple, the stars make ideal choices because they are famous and recognizable, but avoid too much scandal or bad press in their personal lives.
For an airline like Emirates, signing the very likeable and world-famous Jennifer Aniston, who saw her fame rise rapidly after starring in the internationally popular “Friends” sitcom over 20 years ago, is a great PR move.
According to UAE newspapers, Aniston makes an excellent representative because of her “lifestyle. Aniston sells a whole package that’s somehow both glamorous and totally attainable — which is exactly what Emirates sells, too.”
