John Stamos Pleads ‘No Contest’ to DUI

JohnStamos

John Stamos‘ troubles with the law this summer are well-known, after he was pulled over while driving erratically by Beverly Hills police officers and charged with a DUI.

Stamos just entered a plea of ‘no contest’ to driving under the influence of a drug. The plea was entered through his attorney, as Stamos’ busy filming schedule did not allow him to appear in court. No contest means that Stamos neither disputes or admits to the charges, but will allow the court to treat the plea as a criminal conviction.

The court handed down a sentence of three years of summary probation.

In addition, Stamos has to now attend a three-month education class for first-time DUI offenders and two hours of drug and alcohol addiction counseling. The actor must also provide the judge proof that he has attended at least 52 meetings of AA/SA (Alcoholics Anonymous/Substance Abuse) meetings in order to complete the 12-step rehabilitation program.

John Stamos seems to be back on track after his arrest, and has publicly admitted his fault and mistake, wishing to clear up his record and move on.

The handsome Greek-American actor is currently the star of FOX’s “Grandfathered”, which airs every Tuesday.
