Netflix To Turn Sophia Amoruso’s ‘#Girlboss’ into Series

Sophia Amoruso

Two Greek-run companies will be working together in a big way in Hollywood, as fashion CEO Sophia Amoruso‘s “#Girlboss” autobiography will be turned into a comedy series by Netflix, the streaming giant headed by Ted Sarandos.

Amorous created the brand Nasty Gal from the ground up, and expanded her brand by writing books, magazine columns, and broadcasting podcasts about her fashion and CEO philosophy, most of them under the title of “#Girlboss”.

Famous names like Kay Cannon and Charlize Theron are teaming up with Netflix to get the series off the ground, so hopefully we can expect great things to come from this show.

Cannon, who was previously a writer for Tina Fey’s hit show “30 Rock”, will be penning the script for the series, while Theron’s production company “Denver & Delilah” will be helping out behind the scenes.

The plot will follow Amoruso’s real-life story, about how she went from dumpster diving and selling vintage clothes on eBay to building a multi million dollar fashion empire by age 27.
