Zoe Kazan Pens Script for Paul Dano’s Directorial Debut

After portraying a range of diverse characters in critically acclaimed films from “Little Miss Sunshine” and “There Will Be Blood” to “12 Years A Slave”, Paul Dano is making his directorial debut with the movie “Wildlife”, scripted by long-time girlfriend Zoe Kazan and himself.

Greek-American Zoe Kazan adapted her script from a 1990 novel by Richard Ford, which follows a boy who sees his parents’ marriage dissolve after a big move. Dano is also producing the film, but it seems that neither Kazan nor Dano will be acting in the movie.

If you’re itching to see Zoe on the big screen soon, you can see her in “The Big Sick”, a romantic comedy starring Ray Romano and Holly Hunter, or check her out in HBO’s “Max”, directed by Lena Dunham. Dano will be in the film Okja along with Tilda Swinton and Jake Gyllenhaal, which is being backed in part by Netflix.

Kazan and Dano have now been together for eight years, and were last seen acting together in “Ruby Sparks”.
