Dave Bautista Joins Jodie Foster in ‘Hotel Artemis’

In addition to continuing his hit performance as Drax the Destroyer in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” series, Dave Bautista has signed up along with Jodie Foster to play a part in “Hotel Artemis”, a more dramatic sci-fi film that takes place in the near future in Los Angeles.

The film follows Foster, a nurse who works in a specialized underground LA hospital for criminals, as she discovers an assassination plot unfolding beneath her nose while dealing with her patients.

Drew Pearce, who is helming the film, was the writer behind “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” and “Iron Man 3”, though this is his first time as a director. However, his writing past shows that he knows how to create intense, dramatic, and thrilling scenes on camera.

Pearce was very excited to get Bautista for “Hotel Artemis”, as he is a big fan of the Greek-Filipino wrestler and actor. When asked about the choice of actor, Pearce released a statement saying “Mr. Bautista is a force to be reckoned with — a powerful presence who’s equal parts strength and soulfulness”.

Before you see Bautista in “Hotel Artemis”, which will be starting production later this year, you will be able to catch him on the big screen in “Bladerunner 2049” and “Avengers: Infinity War”.
