Global Green’s Annual Pre-Oscar® Party attracted some big names in Hollywood to raise awareness about protecting our planet and send the message that Hollywood stands with Standing Rock.
Sponsored by Earth Friendly Products, the largest green event of Oscar Week was attended by over 200 guests including celebrities, eco-luminaries, environmental companies, political leadership and headline press from around the world. Some the guests included Oliver Stone, Jeff Bridges, Jane Fonda, Estelle, Ed Begley, Jr., Paula Abdul, James Van der Beak, Orlando Bloom, Cody Simpson, Taylor Dayne and Matt Walsh.
Wearing a creation by eco-conscious designer Lindee Daniels, Earth Friendly Products CEO Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks noted that green is not just good for the planet but also good for business.
Oscar winner (and also nominated again this year) actor Jeff Bridges said that what the Siout tribe is trying to achieve by blocking the Dakota Pipeline is good for all of us.
“You always had the deniers,” said Oliver Stone referring to the approach of the current administration on the environment and global warming.
“I was just in the polar regions and what I saw there it scares me,” said environmentalist Douglas Stoup who was also honored at the event.
