Tiffani Thiessen has just landed a major role in the new Netflix series “Alexa & Katie”, which will premiere in 2018.
The show focuses on two teenage protagonists and follows the story of these lifelong friends as they get ready to start high school; Thiessen will be playing Lori, the protective mother of one of the leads.
Paris Berelc and Isabel May, young up-and-coming starlets, are set to play the two teenage leads.
Though the exact premiere date is still unknown, Netflix has revealed that “Alexa & Katie” will be a 13-episode series.
Heather Wordham, the creator of the series, has experience both with writing teenage characters and exploring the family dynamics of families with children; her previous shows include “Hannah Montana”, starring Miley Cyrus, and “Reba”.
Though Thiessen has lately been focused on her lifestyle and cooking show “Dinner at Tiffani’s”, she is best known for her acting work in “Saved by the Bell” and “Beverly Hills, 90210”.
