If you liked 80s classics like “Red Dawn”, there is an innovative new spoof series coming to Amazon Prime called “Comrade Detective” that you must tune in to watch.
The series spoofs the cop movies and shows of the 1980s, but offers a new take on them: instead of giving them a heavy anti-Soviet slant, it is filmed with an entirely Romanian cast and takes place behind the Iron Curtain.
Alessandro Tanaka is the writer and executive producer, and though the series stars Romanian actors Florin Piersic Jr. and Corneliu Ulici, the voiceovers for the main characters are provided by Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Additional overdubs are provided by Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, Nick Offerman, and Chloe Sevigny.
You can watch “Comrade Detective” on Amazon Prime as of April 4.
