CBS just dropped the trailer for one of the first shows they will be releasing on their All Access-exclusive service, a cop comedy called “No Activity”, in which Jason Mantzoukas and Amy Sedaris both make hilarious appearances.
Based on an Australian show with the same name, “No Activity” follows quirky cops played by Tim Meadows and Patrick Brammall who don’t seem to get much in the way of action in their police careers.
However, one day they end up falling into the middle of a crazy set of events and mixing with a lot of bad guys, including one father-cop team in which the dad is played by Will Ferrell, who is also an executive producer on the series.
Thanks to Ferrell’s role behind the scenes, as well as executive producer credits for Adam McKay and Funny or Die, a lot of today’s top comedy talent has been attracted to the show: other cast members besides Amy Sedaris and Jason Mantzoukas include J.K. Simmons, Michael Watkins, Jake Johnson, and Jesse Plemons, among many others.
“No Activity” is meant to attract viewers to CBS new “All Access” service, and will be the fourth show premiering on the streaming service, after “Star Trek: Discovery”, “The Good Fight”, and “Big Brother: Over the Top”.
We’re always on board to watch two hilarious Greek-American comedians in the same show, so tune in to “No Activity” to watch Jason Mantzoukas and Amy Sedaris at their comedic best. You can watch the full trailer above; warning, the released trailer is uncensored.
