Jennifer Aniston will reunite with former co-star Adam Sandler in Netflix’ comedy “Murder Mystery”.
The darkly humorous story follows Sandler and Aniston as a married couple from New York who end up as the top suspects in the murder of a billionaire while on a trip to Europe.
Aniston and Sandler were last seen together in the romantic comedy “Just Go With It”, in 2011.
Sandler has already signed a four-film deal with Netflix, and has frequently commented on how much he loves working with the company. The feeling seems to be mutual, as Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos described Sandler as one of the best comedians working in film.
This role seems to be part of a wider transition to working with streaming services for Aniston, as she also recently signed on to executive produce and star in a series for Apple with Reese Witherspoon.
“Murder Mystery” will be directed by Kyle Newacheck, the co-creator of “Workaholics”.
