John Stamos‘ wife Caitlin McHugh has given birth to the couple’s first child, which Stamos named Billy (Βασἰλης) Stamos after his late father.
The couple has been dating for a few years, and got married in February 2018. After welcoming his son into the world, Stamos posted a photo on Instagram of his baby lying on him. He captioned it “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father).”
Stamos has always been proud and vocal about his Greek heritage; his pride and admiration for his Greek father shows in the fact that he gave his son a Greek name.
The couple had announced their pregnancy just two months after their engagement, with Stamos giving multiple interviews about how excited he was for fatherhood. The “Fuller House” actor stated that he was especially looking forward to becoming a father because, at 54, he wasn’t always sure fatherhood was going to be a part of his life.
