Mark Ballas, famous from his long stint on “Dancing With the Stars”, will be starring in a production of the “Jersey Boys” musical at The Muny in St. Louis.
The rest of the cast will be rounded out by Bobby Conte Thornton, Nicolas Dromard, Keith Hines. Performances will run from July 9 to 16.
The Broadway production of “Jersey Boys” ran from 2005 to 2017 and won several Tony awards. Mark Ballas actually starred in the final run of the production, and has frequently spoken about how much he loved and had seen the musical before even auditioning. The musical has since had international premieres, nationwide tours, and runs on off-Broadway venues.
“Jersey Boys” dives into the story of musical sensation Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It will also allow Ballas to do what he does best: sing and dance. In addition to his formidable dancing skills, Ballas is half of the musical duo Alexander Jean, along with fiancee BC Jean.
The Muny production of the musical will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, and have music direction by Rick Bertone.
