Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey praised Greece during his appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show”, describing his Greek vacation as “three weeks in paradise.”
McConaughey was in Greece in July with wife Camila Alves and their three children, along with his mother Mary McCabe. The family enjoyed the sun and the sea on Antiparos, a small island at the heart of the Cyclades near Paros.
Before arriving on Antiparos, McConaughey and his family were spotted strolling through the narrow streets of cosmopolitan Mykonos. While in the Greek islands, they also bumped into Woody Harrelson and his family, giving the two men a chance to unwind and kick a soccer ball around.
What impressed McConaughey — other than the natural beauty of the country — was the way Greeks treat elderly women like queens, and since he had his mother with him, he said that he loved that.
