London-based Greek designer Mary Katrantzou has been asked to collaborate with Victoria’s Secret for this year’s fashion show.
Starting last year, the prominent lingerie brand decided to ask a designer to create a section of each year’s world-famous VS show. Katrantzou, known for her colorful prints and feminine designs (she has been nicknamed the “Queen of Prints”), seemed like a perfect fit for the clothing line.
The designer has been rapidly making her way up in the fashion world. With designs worn by celebrities and style icons around the world, including Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, and Beyonce, Katrantzou has quickly become a fashionista favorite at London Fashion Week.
Victoria’s Secret will hold its runway show in New York in November, where at least 18 new models for the brand will make their debut. Katrantzou’s designs will be available for purchase immediately after the show, both online and in stores.
