Foals’ Frontman Yannis Philippakis Confirms New Band Album and Tour

Yannis Philippakis

Yannis Philippakis, the frontman for the rock band Foals, told fans that the group will have a new album out next year.

New songs from the band have been long-awaited by fans and music aficionados. Warner/Chappell Music UK has described the band as “one of the most forward-thinking and constantly innovating rock bands to have emerged in the past ten years”.

After the release of the album, the Foals will also be going on tour. Although specific tour dates for the album have not been confirmed, the Foals have already signed up for three music festivals in Mexico and Germany in March and June.

Philippakis had recently told NME, “we’re in the marinating stage of thinking about getting onto the next record. We have a couple of bits written but it’s in the very early stages. We’re in the conception stage, we’re not pregnant yet, we’re just trying to have the kid”.

However, it is now confirmed that the group has been writing songs since October of 2018.

Fans can expect updates soon with details about the release and tour dates.
