Kelly Clarkson Starts Nationwide Tour in Oakland

Kelly Clarkson kicked off her first US concert tour in three years on January 24 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.

These past couple of years, the former “American Idol” winner has been busy as a judge on “The Voice”. She also contributed her powerful voice to television and movies, and performed at several awards shows, including the Billboard Music Awards.

However, Clarkson is now ready to make her way across the US with the “Meaning of Life” tour. Her first concert’s setlist featured over 25 hits from her 16-year career since “American Idol”.

Crowd favorites included “Miss Independent”, for which she was joined by opening artists Brynn Cartelli and Kelsea Ballerini. Other featured songs included “Walkaway”, “Behind These Hazel Eyes”, and songs from her new album such as “Love So Soft” and “Whole Lotta Woman”.

Always intent on giving back in addition to performing, Clarkson gave a $1000 gift card during the show to Allyn Pierce, a nurse who saved lives during the deadly Camp Fire in California.

You can catch Clarkson on tour in Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Baltimore, St. Louis, and many other cities. Her full concert schedule is available on her website, KellyClarkson.com.
