Wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista continues to line up major acting parts, this time taking on a starring role in Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” movie.
Snyder’s film is an epic $70 million zombie heist film co-written by Snyder himself and Shay Hatten. “Army of the Dead” is a Netflix film, so Bautista has now joined the growing ranks of famous actors signing on to Netflix original productions.
The Greek-Filipino actor hasn’t left his wrestling career completely yet, as he will be participating in WrestleMania 35 this weekend.
However, in the acting world, Bautista has racked up an impressive list of credits, and his movie career is busier than ever.
In addition to getting cast in the upcoming star-studded “Dune” remake, Bautista continues to reprise his role as Drax in the Marvel Universe, and also has a role in the upcoming action comedy “Stuber”.
“Army of the Dead” will be shot in summer of 2019 and will be release sometime in 2020, though exact dates are still unknown.
