Ariel Winter, the Greek-American star of the sitcom “Modern Family”, has booked a significant guest star role on an upcoming episode of “Law & Order: SVU”.
The actress has previously spoken about wanting to venture out towards more dramatic and adult roles. It seems that she is already taking those steps now that “Modern Family” is coming to a close after 11 seasons.
Winter teased her followers about the role with a picture of her sporting a new shade of hair, and the caption “filming something new that I’m really excited about”.
The young actress’ guest spot will air in fall of 2019. She was spotted walking on set alongside Mariska Hargitay, the “SVU” star who plays Detective Olivia Benson and is also an executive producer of the show.
Though not much is known yet about Winter’s role, her episode will deal with modern, innovative techniques and methods used to help victims open up about their experience and recall important details to help prosecute offenders.
“Law & Order: SVU” is the longest-running live-action series in history, as it is entering its 21st season on NBC.
