Christos Vasilopoulos Starts Consultation Service for Greek Actors in LA

Christos Vasilopoulos, the Greek TV star who has made a smooth transition into Hollywood, appearing on shows such as Cinemax’s “Banshee”, TNT’s “The Last Ship” and “Blindspot,” is now starting up a consultation business for actors moving to Los Angeles.

Vasilopoulos aims to focus mainly on Greek and Cypriot actors moving to Hollywood, as he is more familiar with the specific challenges such actors face. However, he eventually aims to expand his consultations to include all prospective foreign actors coming to LA.

For first-time actors in Hollywood, knowing where to even begin their journey in the film industry can be daunting. LA has hundreds of acting classes, workshops, and agents, but only a handful of the opportunities available can truly help actors succeed.

As Vasilopoulos says, “Most aspiring actors in LA, including myself, end up wasting a lot of time and money on things that won’t really work. Without a mentor, you only really learn through trial and error.”

Having an actor who is experienced in navigating Hollywood, such as himself, to serve as a consultant and mentor can help aspiring artists reach their goals much faster.

Vasilopoulos will work with actors individually to tailor his consultations to their specific goals, talents, and challenges. He will even extend such opportunities its having actors accompany him on set, if he is filming, to see how a Hollywood set functions in real life.

As to the reason why he is doing this, it is clear that Vasilopoulos believes deeply in paying it forward, and in performers helping each other as much as possible. This benevolent initiative will help many actors find their footing and devise a career plan in a very challenging industry, located in one of the most competitive cities in the world for entertainment.

If you are interested in moving to Los Angeles and aren’t sure where to start, you can get in touch with Vasilopoulos via Instagram (@vasilo1) or e-mail ([email protected]). He will also soon be holding some seminars in Athens on acting in Hollywood, so if you want a sense of what his consultations are about without going to LA first, check them out!
