‘Synchronic’ Starring Ally Ioannides Premieres at Toronto

The prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) closed out its run on September 15, and one of the most talked-about movies of the event was “Synchronic”, starring Jamie Dornan, Anthony Mackie, and Ally Ioannides.

“Synchronic” is the brainchild of directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who have previously released mind-bending films including “Resolution”, “Spring” and “The Endless”.

In their newest endeavor, Mackie and Dornan play New Orleans paramedics attending to what they think is an overdose patient, when in fact their newest charge is suffering the effects of a time travel drug.

Greek-American actress Ioannides was present at the 2019 TIFF premiere of “Synchronic” to promote her newest project.

The 21-year-old actress has so far been recognized mostly for her stellar TV work, including “Parenthood” and the AMC series “Into the Badlands”. This is not her first foray into feature films, however, as she previously won acclaim for her role in “Tsarevitch”.

After its world premiere on September 7 at TIFF, audiences look forward to seeing “Synchronic” and star Ally Ioannides in theaters throughout the US.
