EDM singer and songwriter VASSY has just released a brand new hit titled “Oxygen”, and it’s the song we all definitely needed in 2020.
She teamed up with Outgang and TwoWorldsApart to release the song, which has an uplifting, catchy dance beat and hopeful lyrics.
The Greek-Australian singer is no stranger to success, as her past collaborations with David Guetta, Tiesto, and Afrojack have netted her countless awards and top Billboard positions. “Oxygen” was a personal song for VASSY, as she spent most of 2020 recuperating from a foot injury while also dealing with the isolation the pandemic brought upon all of us.
In a press statement, she talked about the meaning of the song for her, stating, “I created ‘Oxygen,’ I just felt like I was drowning, I needed to come up for air. As much as lyrically it’s a love song, metaphorically it’s much deeper, a longing lust to feel alive, I think how all of us feel right now.”
