Theater productions in general have suffered a lot during the coronavirus pandemic, as Broadway has closed its doors in accordance to health protocols.
However, the performers have decided to showcase their skills and bring us some much needed joy in the midst of 2020, with Tina Fey set to host a musical extravaganza titled “One Night Only: The Best of Broadway”.
The casts of acclaimed musicals including “Chicago”, “Jersey Boys”, “Jagged Little Pill”, and “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child”, will be putting on street performances to entertain audiences at home.
Fey’s musical “Mean Girls”, based on her hit movie, also had to close its doors for now. Though a firm reopening date hasn’t been set, many expect that by early summer of 2021, musicals and plays will be able to slowly open up again.
This outdoor Broadway special will be broadcast on NBC on December 10, at 8 PM EST.
